Guided by the concept of sustainability, the winery’s architecture contributes greatly to the ability to save energy during the vinification and aging processes because it was designed to use gravity instead of pumps. Its also extends the use of natural light for longer periods during the day.
Residuals & Wastes
Familia Garcés Silva Vineyards also prioritizes the separation of residuals and wastes. The former are divided into organic and inorganic matter. All organic residuals are composted and incorporated into the vineyards to conserve and increase the biology of the soil and to improve its structure. Inorganic residuals are recycled.
Wastes, on the other hand, are carefully stored for removal by specialized companies or state organizations and disposal in accordance with current laws.
