Eight years ago Garces Silva Family started a new project in Maule Valley. At the beginning the idea was to plant Cabernet Sauvignon but we saw a place with identity and history cared by an exceptional man. The culture, the way of tilling the land, the vineyards with more than 100 years and the people that surrounded this place made us rethink everything. So instead of imposing a viticulture, in all this time we have been adapting and learning from the customs of this wonderful area. Today we can say that we have rescued a vineyard and a wonderful peasant culture that this Country wine gives us, thus preserving a Chilean wine heritage. The result is this wine, Catalino, where many people have given us their knowledge and desire to maintain the customs of the Maule’s field ".
