The granite soil and marine climate give us this Amayna Syrah with intense violet color, notes of dark and red fruit that harmoniously blend with the frenh oak. In palate, spicy fresh, with great character.

Serving suggestion: Ideal with lamb, red meats, pastas, game birds and pata negra ham.

Winemaking characteristics
Harvest | Late harvest for a cold vintage. Blocks were picked between the 06th and 22nd of Apri 2021. Fruit selection mainly at vineyards and also in the sorting table. Hand-picked Cold soak at 10 °C for 3 to 4 days. The blend has 8 different lots with 10% to 20% whole cluster. |
Fermentation | Stainless steel with gentle short pump overs for not over extracting. |
Barrel Aging: | 16 months in French oak foudres and barrels. |
Color: | Intense ruby colour with purple hues. |
Nose | Amayna Syrah 2021 has a complex aromatic profile that opens with fruits of the forest: blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. The aromas will progress to fragrant lavender, dried herbs such as sage and bay leaf, notes of white pepper and soft mentos hints. |
Palate | In the palate we find a full-bodied Syrah with round tannins and oak presence that delivers softness and elegance. The freshness linger and the aftertaste remains in the mouth. |
